Things however get complicated when she invites him over to his place for dinner and Avinash makes is clear that he has set his heart on Dev, who openly scoffs at gays and the younger generation.

Dibakar Banerjee: Purandar (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) is a member of the lower-middle class part of Mumbai, who stays in a Lalbaug chawl and dreams of making it big in life. Purandar has tried everything from emu farming to applying for security jobs.

However, what many not know is that in his native place Sangli, Purandar was considered a talented theatre actor. So what happens when Purandar stumbles onto a film set and is offered a small role by a hassled director looking for a last minute replacement?
