GHAYAL (The Wounded) centers around a young man Ajay Mehra (Sunny Deol) who
shows great promise as a budding boxer. Encouraged by his doting elder
brother Ashok(Raj Babber) a successful businessman and his warm and
affectionate wife Indu (Moushami Chatterji), Ajay is all set to be one of the
country's leading champions. A pretty journalist Varsha(Meenakshi Seshadri)
is Ajay's lady love. The four seem to be leading an idyllic happy life looking
forward to a bright future for all with Ashok rising in his management career
and Ajay developing into a National Boxer. While on training camp session Ajay
learns of his brother's mysterious disappearance. Disturbed and
terribly wounded, he returns to Bombay and begins his relentless search for his
missing brother. Here he discovers several men in high position are
involved. In his attempt to expose what he knows, Ajay gets sucked into
the vortex of their machinations. Suddenly he finds himself framed for his
brother's death. Impotent, helpless and bewildered, Ajay finally realizes
the evil web that has destroyed his brother and now threatens to ruin him. The
tale of a prisoner who pursues his lonely path of attaining justice is the
soul of "GHAYAL".
