Kamal Hassan falls in love with his neighbor Rati Agnihotri. In spite of not
being able to coverse with each other for she does not know his language and he
does not understand what she says, their love blooms and grows. This is totally
unacceptable by boththeir parents as they are old fashioned and only interested
in marrying them to persons in their own religions and regions. They promise to
get married to each other, but are forced to wait as Rati is under age, so
Hassan is forced to leave town and keep in touch. Hassan then learns to speak
Hindi from Madhavi, but she falls in love with him. When he goes to meet Rati
afterwards, Madhavi’s brother tries to stop him. Do the lovers meet? Watch this
