Title Dostana Vijay Varma (Amitabh Bachchan), an inspector of the criminal investigation
department, Mumbai and Ravi (Shatrughan Sinha), a brilliant criminal lawyer are
childhood friends but their friendship falls prey to the evil machinations of
Daga (Prem Chopra). Daga’s smuggling operation has been busted time and again by
Vijay and in one such raid Vijay apprehends Daga’s lieutenant Balwant. Daga
hires Ravi to get Balwant acquitted. When Daga learns that Vijay and Ravi are in
love with the same girl, Sheetal (Zeenat Aman), he causes a rift between the two
friends making Ravi believe that Vijay has double-crossed him. With Ravi now
Vijay’s sworn enemy, Daga deviously frames Vijay for causing the death of a
criminal in his custody. Sheetal requests Ravi to defend Vijay but the latter
demands a price…. |
