DEVA (Sunny Deol) belongs to a middle class family comprising of his father
Ashok Pradhan ( Anupam Kher) who is a principled & honest Advocate, mother
Gayatri (Beena), brother AAKASH (Sachin Khedekar) & sister GUDDI (Richa Behl).
Deva does respect the honesty & ideals of his father but also believes in
practicality of todays time. Due to this differences between father & son, Deva
has to leave the house for good.With the passage of time Deva becomes the most
wanted Don of the city. He is wanted by the police & his rivals Jindal (Raj
Babbar), KHAN (Sharad Saxena), & LAL (Shahbaz Khan). On the other hand he is
loved & worshiped by the poor. Deva meets JAYA (Ravina Tandon), a club dancer in
a strange incident. Jaya falls in love with him & Deva becomes aware of her
ailing mother on whos insistence he marries Jaya.Devas sister Guddi is married
off to Asst. Commissioner of Police INDER SAXENA (Ashish Vidyarthi), who is also
a family friend of the Pradhans. Inder has been handed over the files relating
to Deva and the other Dons. The trio of Dons get together and hatch a plot to
murder the Honest Chief Minister and implicate Deva for the same thereby
eliminating both their enemies, but by the strange coincidence Aakash overhears
the plan and before he could inform Deva about it, he is ruthlessly murdered by
them. Deva falls into the trap laid down by Jindal & others, but the Chief
Minister does not die & Deva manages to escape with the Chief Minister. All hell
breaks loose for Deva. Meanwhile as if destiny hadn't completed in giving the
worst to Deva , his sister is ruthlessly murdered without a clue.Deva happens to
chance upon a vital clue that provides a solution & curtain unfolds who is
behind the conspiracy to eliminate him. |
