Praan Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye…” is a story of people living in a city like
Mumbai who are neither staying in apartments, nor in bungalow or in a basti.
Then who are these people? And where do they stay? An odd combination of modern
apartments and military barracks, these chawls which have 2 to 7 floors with at
least 15 rooms on each floor, each 100 to 150 sq.ft in size which look like open
trunks. But a speciality of these chawls are its common toilets. Popatlal
Chunilal Garodiya Chawl is a similar kind of a chawl whose current owner,
Praveenseth is the grandson of Popatlal. He wants to vacate the chawl by driving
away all the residents and wants to construct a magnificient “ Pitawala”
complex. The chawl residents want to foil his plans but Praveenseth is hell bent
on driving the residents out. The tug of war between the residents and
Praveenseth has almost started favoring him when Laxmi Rathod a resident of the
chawl plays such a trick that Praveenseth is afraid even to be seen in the
vicinity of the chawl. But Praveenseth is also tough nut to crack. He chalks out
a devious plan to which the chawl people have no answer. What happens
next??!?!!! Does Praveenseth succeed in his malicious plans ? Do the chawl
