Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) lives happily with his mother (Sulochana), handicapped sister (Fareeda Jalal) and his younger brother. He becomes unwittingly involved in a murder and discovers an eye-witness to the crime. Later, he becomes prey to mysterious attacks of severe headache and a doctor tells him that he has a fatal brain tumor and only three months to live. Vijay is shocked and decides to take responsibility for the murder, making a lucrative deal with the witness. He thinks that the money will be useful for his family after his death. In jail, he suffers a severe attack and is shifted to the hospital. Here a doctor declares that he can be cured by an operation.... This dramatic film’s highlight is a gripping and intense performance from Amitabh Bachchan. The film also has Parveen Babi playing the leading lady and has music composed by Laxmikant – Pyarelal.
