Ravi(Anil Kapoor) is a good for nothing young man who gets fired from one job
after another. His father, a school teacher, (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) has just
been demoted for turning in a politicians son for cheating. The family moves to
Kashipur where a gang fueled by crooked politicians holds power. In Kashipur,
Ravi meets & falls in love with Kiran(Juhi Chawla). Ravi along with his uncle, (Shakti
Kapoor) another good for nothing, are teased and humiliated by the townspeople.
Ravi, being fed up with his life and the injustice in the world, decides to do
something about the gang thats harassing the town. For his efforts to save the
town, he is sent to jail. While in jail, his family and friends put a campagin
together in which Ravi runs for MLA. If he wins the election he will be freed
from jail and have a place in society. But if he loses, he will spend the rest
of his life behind bars. Will this good for nothing Loafer ever amount to
anything? |
