Inspector Kunwar Singh Damji (Kulbhushan Kharbanda), an honest cop and Chaturvedi (Paresh Rawal), a dreaded criminal, are combatants involved in a fight to the finish. The cop is killed but years later, his son Amar Singh (Aamir Khan) returns to take up where his father left off. Helping him is a feisty woman (Mamta Kulkarni).
